Shiva Shakti Studios brings traditional yoga practice right into the heart of Snowdonia away from its London based home in Crouch End. A friendly and egalitarian studio that welcomes people of all ages and all abilities. Whether you are new to yoga or have been practicing for years, a retreat in nature will motivate, enhance, and deepen your practice.

The Programme

Morning Yang yoga begins with meditation and pranayama to bring you into your body and to prepare you for the practice. Yoga flow focuses on synchronising movement and breath. Deliberate slow movements help the muscles to relax whilst simultaneously releasing built up energy. Vanessa, who is a highly experienced yoga teacher, will always offer variations and modifications.

Evening sessions will see us slow down with a Yin yoga class. Yin yoga works deeply into the body with passive, longer held poses. It targets the deepest connective tissues – ligaments, joints, bones and the deep fascia networks. Energetically, Yin improves energy flow, enhancing the flow of chi to the organs and offers wonderful emotional and health benefits, and will assist in aiding a good nights sleep.
