“Yoga is for the willing, not the flexible.”

We offer nearly 20 types of yoga practices across our weekly schedule.

As one of the more prominent forms of yoga that is regularly incorporated into other classes, Hatha is a great place to start learning the foundations of yoga and familiarising yourself with the names of the asanas (poses).

Our Intro Offer, which is valid for 14 days, offers you an unlimited opportunity to get a feel for the studio, and to experience different teaching styles and yoga practices. You’ll find your own rhythm and balance between energetic flow and calming practice by experiencing a mix of sessions.

For the best experience and easiest way to make bookings, we encourage you to download our App – Shiva Shakti Studios, available either on the App Store for iphone, or Google Play Store for Android.

Both studios are fully equipped with yoga mats and props that are complimentary to use. We welcome you to bring your own mat and props according to your needs, and you may wish to bring water and a towel with you.

It is recommended that yoga be practised on more or less an empty stomach by leaving two to three hours between a main meal and a class.

Practicing prenatal yoga can be beneficial for both mother and child.

If you have a regular yoga practice, we recommend pregnancy yoga, hatha yoga and restorative yoga during pregnancy.

Our Pregnancy Yoga class is for women that have very little or no experience with yoga. This class will assist you to remain healthy during pregnancy and to prepare the body for labour and birth in a relaxed space where you will feel comfortable to connect and share knowledge with other mums-to- be whilst finding a peaceful state of mind.

Find the time to let your teacher know that you are pregnant before the start of the class. They will be able to offer you modifications, and as always, take the class at your own pace.

In the heart of Hornsey, a few minutes’ walk from the clocktower in Crouch End, you’ll find us at 137 Tottenham Lane, London N8 9BJ.

There is parking for bikes and cars in the surrounding roads, and several bus routes that make the studio easily accessible.

There are a few parking restrictions to note if you intend to visit the studio by car. Opposite the studio on Rokesly Avenue, and to the left of the studio towards Crouch End, there is residents’ parking between 10am and 12pm. Hillfield Avenue, off Rokesly Avenue, has parking restrictions between 11am and 1pm. Behind the studio, on Nelson road and Inderwick road, there are restrictions between 12 and 2pm.

There is a bike rack by the Fresco shop on the corner of the roundabout, and outside the Arthouse cinema. Bikes can also be locked up by the railings opposite by the church, and outside Rokesly School.
